Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has been rule out for Norway after the departure of Riccardo Calafiori.

Odegaard started for Norway in Monday’s 2-1 Nations League win over Austria, but was substitute after just 66 minutes due to injury.

The Gunners captain suffer a left ankle injury after being tackle from behind by an opponent and landed with a dislocate foot on the ground, and was unable to continue and was substitute on medical assistance.

The Arsenal playmaker was clearly in pain and stayed down before receiving treatment on the pitch from Norway’s medical team. The 25-year-old was console by countryman and Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as he hobble off the pitch in tears with the help of the physios.

Odegaard’s latest injury comes as another blow for Arsenal, with new defender Riccardo Calafiori already out with an injury while playing for Italy in their 3-1 win over France.

After the international break, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have a busy schedule ahead of them, starting with a North London derby away to Spurs on Sunday, September 15, ยูฟ่าเบท before their first UEFA Champions League match against Atalanta and returning to the league for a big match away to defending champions Manchester City.
